Had our first official band practise this morning. And I have to say that everything went much better than I could ever hope. Love is Dead is sounding really great even without a bass player. That's because Jer is amazing at keyboard. With his awesome skills he was able to alter his part, filling in a lot of the bassline and solo, so that the song

I actually don't know their music too well either. I just kinda like this one song... Gekkouka, I think it's called. Their guitar parts are pretty hard though, I think, so I'll have to see if I can keep up. And I thought you didn't really like Pierrot...? Or is it just Kirito's voice? Haha~
And if need be, we could always just see if Jer could fill in extra guitar parts. Actually I looked at the Say Anything tab. It has, technically 4 guitar parts. But they're mostly really simple... So as much as I love this song to death, I'm slightly disappointed. It's mostly keys and strings... But, on a brighter note, the tab has backup vocals part... so maybe I'll practice that too. Heh. As well as the other songs... I'll see if I can figure out backup parts when I have time. I know some of them have a bit of that. I just need to figure out which notes...
Oh damn, I'm glad I'm not the only one who did that. Now I don't feel too bad. XDDD;;; I just kept trying to ignore what he was playing and then playing the actual one in my head. ~.~;; I'm not even sure his version fits very well with the song. Maybe it's just cuz I'm so used to the actual one... I dunno. I like it better that way. And that's what I'm gonna be practicing this week. I guess if I can play it, I'll still give him a chance. If he still does his improvising, I'm gonna offer to play it. And it'll actually sound right for once. ~.~;;
