Wow, that little tiny closet of a venue reminds me of the hole my friends' bands used to play at when we were in high school.

It seriously looks bigger from the front door of the place. But yeah, you're right. It's a pretty tiny venue. But Sudbury doesn't have any dedicated performing arts facilities. Our arena is an aging, decrepit pile of crap and it costs so much to book it for a show that it's not feasible, even for a band like Beneath The Massacre. Besides that, we've got the Jubilee Center and the Serbian Center (the latter is the one pictured here) for "hall" venues, and a few bars like The Grand or Townehouse Tavern. Some plans have been talked about by the municipal government to work on a dedicated "arts district" in downtown Sudbury with a performing arts facility which would cater to both the really big bands (we've had artists like Nickelback and Elton John use our arena, but the big names tend to go for Sault Ste. Marie because it has a dedicated performing arts hall) and local festival shows like Metal Feast.

tl;dr: Sudbury's a fucking shithole when it comes to music venues.

That Thomas Kincaid pic in the background really sets the mood.
