Today was a good day and so was yesterday.
Well at least schoolwise it was.
My "I dont know if I really want to be a teacher" thoughts were erased.
I've been tutoring this kid. He's awesome. Which reminds me I can't forget to bring him Skittles next time. Over the summer he was reading at a third grade level and now he's at the fifth grade.
I actually taught some today at the indy schools. the teacher i'm working with is one of those bitchy teachers who yells all the time. she's a nice girl but we defnitely have different teaching "styles." Anyways, I was starting the beginning of my social studies unit and the kids were all like "this is fun" and really into it. I was worried cause i'm working in a 4th grade resource room and the kids have a lot of behavoir issues. But it went so well, I was pleasantly surprised. It's days like today that reassure me that i'm not wasting 5 years in college majoring in something i don't even want to do.
