I found I have to upload my pics to photobucket, instead of using Shutterfly, so it might be some time before I can recap my wedding and honeymoon. Hopefully it will be sometime this year! ;-)
Today, Miguel has the day off and I'm just being lazy. I should be doing something productive, but I just don't feel like doing anything. It's my break, I can do what I want, right? Plus, my stomach muscles are freakin' killing me! I started Pilate's last week and I have been dying ever since. Who knew something that looked so simple really could work out all your muscles like this?!
I guess I should get up and go work out. Especially since (gasp!) I've gained 10 lbs since the wedding!!! I have no idea how that happened, well, actually I think it happened during the honeymoon where I ate everything cheesy and fried thing known to man, and then it was all downhilll from there! So much for all the hard work I put in prior to the wedding!
But I digress... I started with a trainer in November (right before my epic 30th birthday!) and so far I've lost 5 lbs. I found I have really liked working with a trainer since I have to weigh in every week and I have that weekly accountability. It certainly has made me more aware of what I put into my body, so I now think more about eating something (whether it is good for me or not) rather than just mindlessly eating - like chocolate - especially under stress (like during finals). Part of his program is also to write down everything you eat and keep track of calories. I did this the first week without a limit on kcals and found I was eating 3500 or more kcals a day. I then realized, "Wow, that is where all this weight is coming from!" ;-) So, now I eat between 1600-1800 kcals a day, with religious tracking and working out 3 times a week with the trainer and another 3 days a week on my own. So far, so good, with the exception of lots of muscle pain!
My goal is to be back at 135ish by this May when I graduate (hopefully sooner!). Miguel and I are taking a one week 1st anniversary vacation this summer and this time I plan to sport a bikini! My only worry is trying to stay on this regimen once school starts, but I'm going to really work on it. May is going to come soon enough, and I definitely don't want to live another year unhappy in my skin!
Guess I'll go get dressed now. I think we might be going to the movies on one of our gift cards we got for Christmas. It's my pick this time since Miguel picked last. He ended up picking Syriana, which I thought was horrible - I just hated the cinematography and the way the movie was sliced together. It was hard to follow and I had no idea what was going on for most of the movie! So, if anyone has any suggestions of a really good move, please let me know. Even if it is chick-flick, that's okay. I have to endure his picks, so he has to do the same. Even Steven, right? ;-)
