so as it turns out, dungeons and dragons isn't actually a computer game at all. unless my boyfriend is having me on, you play it with paper and a pencil.
who would have thought?
i mean, not that i ever claimed to know anything about d&d. but it seems even my simplest of assumptions was wrong.
looks like i still have a lot left to learn (grasshopper.).
in other news.....i'm bored. i predict/know that art is of course going to take me longer than i predicted/hoped, and that it's still not going to be good enough. whoop de doo.
right now i've been working pretty much since 10.40am, and then i had lunch.....and talked to rod, and now i'm stuck in an art-rut. i want it to to be finished.
rod: 'what did you do all year, nothing??'
me: 'yeah, pretty much.'
at 3.00 mum and tom will be back, and then i'll have to go do stuff......"what! *gasp* leave the house! ahhh! but i'm allergic to sunlight! (voice in background: 'that's okay, it's overcast.'). oh, well......mhhnhnhnmmm."
sorry. art, and being cooped up inside with it. mnh.
*sigh*
going to go and try to do more work, again, and see if i can magically incorporate gackt lyrics into my 'trees' project. ellen would be so proud of me.
love the usual
ttfn, s.
ps. that book.....the bestseller from a couple of years back, titled 'the lovely bones'. by alice seobold or something. you know the one? yeah. well, IT'S DAMN CREEPY MAN. really......odd. *twitches* people shouldn't narrate *from heaven* the story of their own rape and murder, and how their dismembered body bled on the floor of their murderer's garage, and how the next-door neighbours' dog found their elbow in the cornfield behind their house.
ODD.
*shudder*
god protect us all from murderers, please. i love my friends. and my intact body. *shudder*
(not that i'm saying it's bad or not well-written, just......weird.)
