I have no appropriate Dean icon to post with, but still...
Dear God. I have, and I'm not exaggerating here, either, just endured what must be the worst hour of television ever produced.
Okay, maybe exaggerating a little, but only a little. A racist truck. A. Racist. Truck! How is that not all the evidence you need to back up my claim? Even being forewarned of this didn't make the awfulness less. Dean being adorable and Dean just being *Dean*, helped a little in that regard, but not nearly enough.
Supernatural, Route 666, for anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about. Which, yeah, I normally expect some headshaking and a whole lot of disbelief suspending from this show, but this was new and frightening levels of insanity. Really, what were the writers on? And whatever it was, could it be banned, please? Forever. Thank you.
Also, Dean's girlfriend couldn't act (worse than Jared. Sorry, sorry, sorry.), and
the fight leading up to the sex was ridiculous. They didn't have much spark, for me, which I found problematic, and Cassie's woodenness was even more so, but the metaphors! the predictability of everything they said to each other. It wasn't a huge moment, but it could've been done really well, and it underlines my continued bitch that the writing lets this show down. Oh, Aaron and Joss and Russell, how I miss your sharp, compelling dialogue. Sigh.
The inclusion of the bad fight, however, is no reflection on the wisdom of including said sex scene. That there was one of the few smart moves in a show riddled with some spectacularly not smart ones.
In conclusion: Ow. The brain, it hurts.
In conclusion number two: Dean is so my boy. *hearts him*
