stole my heart with fifty cents and the sweetest smile around

Today I was standing making drinks at the bar in Starbucks when a six year old boy came up and peered over the side wall at me.

I said  'well hello there, what's your name?'
'Jeremy'
'hi Jeremy, I'm Caroline. Are you waiting on a kids hot chocolate?''
he nodded  and said
'I have a present for you' and he hands me a small plastic ring like one you would get out of a vending machine
'for me? thanks Jeremy, you know usually when you give a girl a ring like this it means you want to marry her.'
he had a bit of a shocked look on his face 'my mommy said I could give it to a pretty girl. I don't think I'm allowed to get married just yet. Be careful you don't want to break it, those are real diamonds, I bought it with my allowance.'
'I'll keep it forever, and don't worry I won't break it. Thank you Jeremy, you've swept me off my feet. Just like Cinderella. Enjoy your hot chocolate'
and he left with his hot chocolate and blushing a little.

Things like this, make me almost need to have kids.  If/when I have a little boy he better be a charmer, as long as he doesn't break too many hearts. He can't go around giving away too many of those plastic rings, some girls might get jealous.
