Title: Packing
Prompt: Road Trip to the beach.
Word Count: 300
Notes: The Curious brothers pack for their planned road trip to the beach. Vidcund is reading off the list, Lazlo is producing the items as they're called, and Pascal is packing.
"Sunscreen?"
"Check."
"Extra pairs of sunglasses in case the Neanderthals break them like last time."
"Three pair for each of us, check."
"Put them in here, Lazlo. They'll go on top, or we'll end up breaking them."
"Gotcha."
"Toddler sunglasses?"
"Check, Cobalt Blue for Newton, Plasma Purple for Garnet, and Neon Laser Pink for Kitty. There you go Pascal you can add that to the shade bag."
"I've never understood why you chose to name your daughter, Garnet, Lazlo."
"The same reason that dad choose Chloe and Lola, and our sister chose Johnny."
"The same reason I chose Katherine, Vid. You do remember the locker bank at school?"
"I do, that is why Newton's first name is John. I suppose Garnet is a good name, it is her birthstone. But let's get back to this. Snacks."
"Chips, gum, licorice, brownies,"
"What kind of brownies, Lazlo?"
"Normal ordinary brownies, Pascal. It's a family trip to the beach, not a D&D marathon in the mountains. I also have dry cereal for the kids. Dried Cranberries, trail mix, and yougurt and carrot sticks in the fridge that we'll pack in the cooler before we go. So check."
"Eye drops in case the Neanderthals kick sand in our faces like last time?"
"Vid, are you sure we should be taking the children to the beach? Every time we go we get bullied. Are we exposing them to it too early?"
"They have to be aware of it eventually, Pascal."
"Besides, bro, you're forgetting. The kids should act as an anti-bullying device. Or at least an incentive for someone standing up for us. But the biggest reason to bring the kids is simple."
"Yeah?"
"Girl magnets, Pas. 75% of females will not be able to pass us without cooing over the toddlers. It's fool proof!"
