I finished up my forty hours by Thursday so I didn't have to work yesterday, which is always great. so here's what I'm up to.
I driving the
crack_van in February for the Sentinel, and I want to do the max on the allowed number of recs. So I'm trying to get a head start by writing up some this weekend. I've got five done.
I'm not going to rec anything that I've podficced, although a lot of them are already on Crack Van, because it could be seen as self-promoting, and I don't want to give that impression.
I'm doing
fic_rush this weekend, which is always wacky fun. Drop by if you feel like doing some writing.
I swear I'm going to start taking down the Christmas decorations this weekend.
Got a few house cleaning and house project things to finish. One that I finally got done was re-grouting the tile around the kitchen sink, and fixing up a spot in the front where wood had decayed. I built it back up with that plastic doughy wood stuff, and it looks okay. Also, much caulking behind the sink was accomplished.
It all looks great and now food and water don't get trapped in between the tiles like they did before.
Christmas was great, very, very busy, but I saw lots of family. I cooked like a fiend, I tell you. My baby grandson was just about ready to crawl and was as cute as he could be, of course.
Been doing some recording on Bent Justice, my huge Buffy/Angel podfic project and some editing on a Sentinel story by Arrow called Somewhere to Be. Podficcing goes slowly, because I have to record when my husband is either upstairs asleep or out of the house and he's mostly home when I am. Also, I swear he has a sixth sense and can tell when I put on my headset because he gets back up out of bed to come downstairs for a while. I usually give up at that point and go to bed myself.
I'm not going to offer podficcing this year for Moonridge, I don't think. I need to catch up on my current projects and I want to do some podficcing for the kind people who have beta'ed my stories for me. Maybe for the final year, I will. I'd like to do Control Issues by
lit_gal and one of Alyjude's stories, although I haven't settled on which one to ask her for permission about. She's worked so hard for the Moonridge auctions, I'd like to show her some appreciation. Besides, I love her stories.
I'm writing the end of Comes a Time, the third arc of A Fair Distance. I'm on chapter fifteen of the rough draft.
Think we're going to buy a treadmill. It's a ton of money to get a good one, but the way our lives are going it would help us to stay healthy. I just went for a two mile walk this morning outside and it was lovely, but I often don't have time to walk during the day, or the weather isn't nice, and I'm likely to talk myself out of going outside in the cold, dark night, especially when the coyotes are howling.
All righty then. Time to make a pot of coffee and drop in at
fic_rush and get some writing done.
