Why another blog?

Good question. Everybody and their grandmother, and their pet turtle, has a blog.

Actually this is intended to be an archive of fanfiction I've never posted anywhere. I have stuff written years ago that have gathered dust in the bottom of my drawers (or more like digital files burned onto backup CDs, patiently waiting to be resurrected from the dead.)

About five years ago, I was already contemplating this project. I even had a title picked out -- "Sick Puppy Project." The concept was I would only write one fanfic per fandom/novel/film.

Unfortunately, I lost interest in my project and moved on to other things. When I recently became interested in fanfiction again, almost a decade after I discovered the genre, I found out some of my favorite writers (and lemons!) were victims of censorship on ff.net and some other sites. It saddened me that I could not re-read some of my favorite stories: the cool Ruruoni Kenshin stuff, the fantastic X-Files post-colonization novels that predated the latter series of the show -- all gone.

Sniff.

Since I just know that some of my stuff will just be banned by sites like ff.net, it's best I just post them elsewhere. :)

Right now I have an overwhelming obsession with Bleach, so I will be posting my Bleach stuff. But I will also dig out some of older work to add some spice to the mix.

censorship, fanfiction, x-files, five years, purpose, kenshin
