Fanfic Death Match? -- Request Prompts for the 5 Senses
Okay, maybe I'm going to totally regret this in the morning but I'm DAZZLED! INSPIRED! CHALLENGED! by windxalchemist's ongoing alphabet challenge. Basically, Windy's asking for prompts for all the letters of the alphabet. Isn't that great?
I don't want to commit to 26 fics, though. That's too much work, and I'm a busy woman known to commit to too many projects. But really, this got me thinking about Italo Calvino's "Under the Jaguar Sun" (which I haven't thought about in years.) Calvino died before he could complete it, so it's just three stories on taste, hearing and smell. My favorite (of course) was the title story, but the ones on hearing and smell were a challenge to read. I'm pretty sure they were a challenge to write, too.
I think I need to challenge myself some more... I feel my writing is getting stale. So here goes:
Please give me a prompt for one of the five senses (taste, hearing, smell, sight, touch) and include fandom, characters, or anything else you'd like to read. Depending on how much time (or inspiration), I'll write a vignette or a medium length one-shot. I'm willing to do one or two fics per sense, depending on demand.
Like Windy, I'll make my own requests... please pick from one of the manga/animes I've already written for or totally adore. These would be:
Bleach
Honey and Clover
Nodame Cantabile
Haruhi Suzumiya
Rurouni Kenshin
Neon Genesis Evangelion
I could probably do Saiunkoku Monogatari, but you'd have to twist my arm to get Baccano! or Fullmetal Alchemist because I simply don't feel confident to write for these series, I feel as if I don't know enough...

Jane Austen
Sandman
Lord Peter Wimsey
I also think I'm totally drained of IchiRuki scenarios due to "By Any Other Name," so if you pick Bleach and want something romantic, try another pet pairing.... it doesn't have to be my pet pairing! Hahaha.
And please no requests for rape scenarios. :D That's all.
