Yeah, I'm still alive. Been busy:
- fangirling over Byakuya
- meeting up with friends with complicated romantic entanglements (the shipping hexagon of doom does happen in real life!)
- watching Beowulf (oh, Neil Gaiman, I love you -- did you write in all the butt naked fighting scenes?)
- reading my latest acquisition, Umberto Eco's On Ugliness -

Okies. Had some? (Yum!)
Now. I must say that I'm totally with you in fangirling over Byakuya, too! Was going through the Byakuya-badass (how many times have I repeated this phrase since the weekends?) bits in 302 with my cousin, and changing my MSN back to (Byakuya-badass!) over and over.
*blinks* You'd better get over to doing the ByaChiru fanfic, and soon! (Will it include the info I'd linked you to? Hmm? *whispers* ...a secret room!...)

P.S. My Blue's near the end. Near the end. I'm left with a stupid 200 words. That's totally cutting off the story. And it was going off so well with the mermaid... now I can't even let her tell 'me' her name! Argh.
P.P.S. All the best with your 50,000 words. Hoped the (fried) apples inspired something...

Ah... Byakuya. I will not pre-empt my own story because the last couple of pages are giving me trouble. Hopefully I will be done this week so I can get on with other important stuff. Hopefully.
On your story, if you're working with a maximum word count and need to spin it out some more, go back and start deleting all the adverbs. If that's not enough, start deleting adjectives too. I know it's a pain to do but it should help.

I was at a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf this morning/afternoon. Got a Belgian Chocolate Frap, and started working on my Ginpaku scarf.(I haven't met anyone who spends about an hour in a Coffee Bean working on her scarf. Thank goodness I was virtually the only one there.)
That's before I saw the chocolate stains of my hands, worried that I would get it onto my precious scarf, and quickly wiped off the sticky brown stuff... thinking of Yachiru. And Byakuya.
Catch my drift? *coughs.storyidea.coughs*
Just so you know. :D

I haven't done that in a long time... knit (or crochet) in public.
On story ideas, I already had Yachiru eating chocolate. :) Do you want to feed some to Byakuya too? Ahh. Kinky!
I don't think he's a chocolate kind of guy though. He'd go for the more traditional Japanese desserts... you know, the ones they make according to season.

Uh... uh. Chocolate! Scarf! Choc on scarf! Yes!
0.0 It's pure randomness, I tell you.
