Some helpful tips from the artistyakuninkaeruMarch 23 2005, 05:26:45 UTC
I suggest having your drawing paper on a flat surface that you can prop up sorta (kinda like on an art board of sorts, or anything really), so you can focus more on a direct image of the picture you want to draw.
You should start out with a brief gesture sketch outlining all the major shapes. This step is important because most of your inaccurate areas (IE: the tie, neck, others) would be more genuine in comparison to the original. This is because the sketch helps you plan out things before trying to fit a finalized picture into one attempt.
After the sketch is made, you would have to find the most accurate shapes and make a contour image, or an accurate outline of the drawing. Then you can worry about shading.
Remember! Objects that seem impossible are just a collection of simpler forms and shapes. If you want me to help you at all just force me to come over or something some time.
Try to use these methods and I'm sure they'll help you. If not though, I'll force them to :O :O :O
