The King's Speech

I ended up unexpectedly seeing a movie last weekend when Ben ran into some people he knew from college at Mass. After standing around the Church talking for about 15 minutes, I suggested we all move to somewhere that serves food, and by the time two of them said they were going to see it, we still didn't want to part just yet. Very interesting people. One I want to get hired for my team's upcoming opening at work.

Before I was an adult (which happened two years ago at the most, btw, rather suddenly) I don't think I would have liked this movie. But the cinematography was great, and the film overall rather moving and beautiful. And who knew Colin Firth could act? I mean, really really act? There is a lot of profanity that may seem gratuitous, but its actually based on the sound neurological principle that cussing is not controlled by the same parts of the brain as normal speech.

Ben had been trying to get me to see the movie for a while, but I kept telling him that I don't watch good, quality dramas. I may have to change that policy.
