Ben took me out to see Sherlock Holmes at one of those dinner-while-you-watch-a-movie places. No, it wasn't a date; when he said he had tickets, he meant what he implied: that they were free and he needed someone to take. Anyway, the movie was brilliant; I rate it totally worth the migraine it induced! I may have to buy it so I can watch it until I catch all the clever witty things I'm sure I missed the first time through. I did catch an awful lot, though. He had great quips about a cult's practices being "practically interesting" and, oh, all sorts of things. I think I can also get behind E's enthusiasm for, what's it called, steampunk? I don't like cyberpunk much, but the cutting-edge of technology before the invention of the internal combustion engine is always a fun playground. Oh and I would highly recommend movie/restaurants for when you need to spend time with people you don't really want to hang with: dinner and the movie are simultaneous, so it saves time, and you don't even have to converse over dinner! I don't know what the people who rated it "best place to take a date" were thinking, though.
