how i miss them, more details
been home for about 2 days now, and i'm really really really really really missing my crew, nick and robbie.
my crew was so awesome. lol our adult leaders really annoyed us... Jan: "NO don't do that you need to wait four hours before you put on the second coat" my goodness wut an ordeal. needless to say, she was wrong. lol we pretty much all wanted to freak out on her by the end of the week. it was funny though.
it was so cool about our crew though, because even though we were all from different places, we all got along really well.
we also talked outside of doing work. me and mary, wut a pair. lol we got her playing canadian spoons. which was very fun. the game included me diving on the floor to get the spoon. Good times. we had the coolest shirt ever, the jesus is my homeboy one.. but it had a pcture of jesus on it. it was awesome. me and mary decided she was going to come to canada and live with me. it will happen.
On Wednesday i met Nick and robbie. Nick was in Ann's crew and Robbie and nick are in the same youth group so we all hung out. on thursday night we also taught them how to play canadian spoons, but they didn't have enough spoons so we took a mixture of both spoons and forks... therefore.. sporks was born, along with the insult " man you're such a spor!"
before the trip, i went on the group work camp website and met this cool cat named justin. we emailed eachother back and forth. on the monday there, ben robson tells me " lauren there's some guy on my crew that wants to meet you." so i ended up meeting him. he was a cool cool guy.
Then on friday, our final night there, me, justin, robbie, and nick and jon, were sitting at the table writing care cards before supper. then supper rolled around with it's desert. me being the total genious that i am, thought of the smart idea to have an ice cream eating contest, faces in the bowl using no hands. so we did that. Jon came out victorious. Then after dinner we went to deliver our care cards into the packages. it was joyeuse, me and robbie finished and then proceeded to sit on the stairs and chat while everyone sat there panacking to get their care cards done. Me and robbie got to know eachother pretty well durring that time on the stairs. i learned he was a very moral guy, with a clean heart and an awesome personality. maybe i should tell him that eh? i'll probably send him an email soon and say something like that. i really miss him. he was a really cool guy and he did an awesome homestar runner impersonation. him and nick joked around about taking a road trip up to Canada, but i'd really like him to do that. it'd make my day.
other events to remember:
being rowdy after devotions and deciding to jump into lake michigan at 10:30 at night, then driving down the street, hopping the fence and swimming in the fountain. it was enjoyable.
also going on 24 foot ladder and freaking out and having mohawk dan encourage me at the bottom.
seeing God work through my crew to get a good job done while having a good time.
