(probably?) not-so-blind item #2
a friend of mine annouced that her very new boyfriend asked her parents for her hand in marriage today. they gave him/them their blessing. and they're already planning the wedding for september...of 2008.
i've had a deer in headlights look all day today trying to digest this. i can't say i don't have fears, i do, and i believe them to be fairly- if not totally- legit. however, as a future bridesmaid (for realz...) and one of her best friends, i have to be supportive.
could any of you reading this plan a wedding three months from now with someone you've only been dating 3 weeks? i couldn't. if you want, become ENGAGED now and get married NEXT september. i believe that when you know, you know. but seriously, if you have nothing to prove, what's the god damn rush?? somebody tell me...explain it in a language i understand...what's the fucking rush??
