lesbionic?

so i was at a bar in littleton last night with sarah. there was a shitty band playing, so we went to the back of the bar where it was a lot more low key (and much more quiet). we're sitting in 2 chairs and we get into a pretty heavy conversation. all of a sudden, this dude who was playing pool grabs a chair and sits with us. he says:

"i'm sorry to ask this...but are you guys lesbians?"

we both just sit there and stare at him. first off, huh? secondly, we actually get this a lot. her brother even asked her if she 'swung both ways' after her halloween party (which was partially, if not totally influenced by my behavior around her). finally, we just start cracking up and say no. then the knucklehead continues on about a BET that was going on among the people all playing pool as to whether we were straight or not. um, we were sitting close and talking...not all over each other and flirting.

this is where it gets really weird. he then says he was JOKING about the bet. ok, odd. makes us feel a little better, but still. after wards he continues to go about why he asked. according to him, he "had a girlfriend, who's mom had a girlfriend, WHO WAS GAY, and was 1 day older than him." once again, we give him a blank stare. finally, i ask, "wha?" he repeats, he "had a girlfriend, who's mom had a girlfriend, WHO WAS GAY, and was 1 day older than him." we say, "if the mom had a girlfriend, isn't it assumed that the girlfriend is already gay?" he agrees- duh. so we ask what that has to with him/us. he can't give us a coherent answer.

so yah, this is obviously just a drunk dude rambling on about stuff. but still, we're not gay. we have no problem with gay people. at first it was funny that people think there's a lesbionic tendency between us. but there isn't. i genuinely consider sarah my sister from another mister. we do click on another level, but that's why we consider ourselves long lost sisters. in the unlikely event that we were to turn gay, that'd be incest. that's gross. sisterly-love ain't gay, ok people? thank you.
