The Marine Land commercials have started to play again for the summer. I predict lots of eye twitching and nervous tics on my part. For those of you who don't get the Marine Land commercials: The "In Ontario" jingle" and the "Friendship Cove" jingle. Give them a listen! Now multiply that by a million.
Elli left me a note by the phone that I found when I got home that said: Had burger, gone to [friend's house], it is 5:30 right now, Call you when I'm done. Ok, it still cracks me up. Had burger...
Today was a really slow day at work but it was with Sandy and Amy, so most of the time was spent laughing over ridiculous things. Plus I still sold 9 pairs, a set of insoles and a pair of socks. Whoo! A cd was skipping again in the Bandstand. Grargh. I think it was the Joe Sample cd I burned, but that's ok, there were still 4 others in the machine. When I went to turn the music system off after work, "Sei Parte Ormai Di Me" was playing. It made me happy :D
A woman came in today trying to describe a pair of sandals she'd seen and liked. "Okay, um, they're sandals, with an average heel and with a black strip of leather across the top." See the problem with that? You've just given me the definition of a sandal! All I could do was point at random black sandals while she said, "No, it wasn't that one. It had this black strap of leather across the top" *tries to demonstrate but keeps changing the width and shape of this 'strap' each time* Needless to say, no dice. She came in later wanting crocs (I hatesss them!) for herself and her son. She likes them because you can "toss 'em in a bucket of water" if they get dirty. Her Huron County accent was so thick I could hardly understand her. She wanted brown because they wouldn't show the dirt so much and "maybe a yellow pair for town." For town? Would you like another pair for church?
Mum and Dad leave New Brunswick tomorrow to come home. This week has been fantastic but it will be nice to have them back. And they got me some sort of present :D They're going to stop in to see Grandma on Friday, I wish I could.
