I love a good movie haul.

There's a used CD/DVD/Game place that has a several stores around southern Ontario. You can order stuff off their website or request that they send it to one of the stores that are close to you. I was just looking around the web site and it turns out they were having a sale for a couple of days, 25% of DVDs. I'm now the proud owner of:

- Season 2 of Bones for $15.00! It's listed on HMV for $68. The total of everything I bought cost less than that.
- Boomtown Season 1 (Donnie Wahlberg! Neal McDonough! Guest spots by Rick Gomez and Frank John Hughes! WHY WAS IT CANCELLED?!)
- Sin City (Only because Rick Gomez is in it) for about $4.00
- Passchendaele for about $12 when it just came out the other week and is about $30 at HMV.

My favourite though is A Bear Named Winnie. Can't lie, I love this movie. Michael Fassbender is frigging adorable in this movie. Watching him play with baby black bears is just unbearably (ha!) cute.

4/5 things with Band of Brothers actors. :P

My one shelf of stuff that has Band of Brothers actors in it has filled up and I need to expand up to the next shelf. :D

So that was my haul yesterday but then there's another Beat Goes on Store in Kitchener so I checked out that one today. I bought:
- Medal of Honour: Rising Sun. I bought European Assault a week or so ago and haven't started playing it yet, but that one's in Europe and this one's in the Pacific Theatre, so I obviously had to buy it. My mum still laughs and shakes her head when she remembers I play these games. Frontline is still my favourite since it follows most of the battles Easy Company participated in. Every time I hit the Market Garden level I think "Aaawwww crap..." Having a history background kind of kills a bit of the suspense of the game when you know how it's going to end.
- Rescue Dawn. Christian Bale as Dieter Dengler. Another war movie, this one based in Laos during the Vietnam war era.
- Pan's Labyrinth. Creepy but I love this movie.

I'm watching Boomtown right now but I might switch over to one of my video games once this episode is over.

movies, band of brothers
