so the trip to mammoth cave didn't happen. aubrey and i decided at the last minute that we'd rather be at the beach, so we headed to florida.
we initially planned on camping at one of the state parks around seaside/panama city/destin on the beach. but ALL OF THEM were booked.
so we ended up in some town called chipley in the middle of northwestern florida (1.5 hours from the beach!)...in what was hands down the worst campsite of all time.
it was supposedly home of florida's highest waterfall or something,
but the park ranger told us that the waterfall wasn't actually flowing, due to a 15 inch rainfall deficit. soo...awesome.
we slept right by the bathrooms, and we had to listen to kids walking by screaming all night long.
so, we canceled our reservations and got the heck out of chipley, and headed back to seaside.
we were just going to hang out and sleep in the car if we had to,
but luckily, zach richards and like 10 other people were staying at zach's parents' beach house right on the water in seagrove, so we got to stay there.
also, we went snorkeling in a natural spring with an underwater cave, and then also in st. andrew's state park with a bunch of jellyfish and pretty fish in panama city. i love snorkeling, i'd never been before but it was really fun.
it was aaaaamazing. i wish we didn't have to come home last night.
the weather was perfect, i got a tan, and chillaxed all the day long.
so, all in all, it was a wonderful vacation and i'm sorry it's over. we're supposed to be going back to florida in a couple weeks with aubs' family, which i cant wait for.
