Ohhh SWEET!

Got this email that was sent out to all the psych majors regarding a professor that is looking for research assistants for a specific study. Here's what it said:

"Hello students! I want to inform you about a research opportunity for the Fall 2006
semester. I am looking for responsible students to work as research assistants for
my dissertation study. My advisor, and the person you would officially be working
for and earning credit under, is Dr. Braswell in the psychology department. My
study involves 3-year old children and their mothers, and I'm looking at mother-child pretend play, parenting styles, and children's self-regulation. Your involvement would include helping me run participants, interacting with children's young siblings, weekly research meetings, and coding, entering, and transcribing data. "

So I emailed the person back and she said that shes interested in meeting with me! I would be working 4-6 hours a week, and I think this would be a great opportunity to get some experience in the psych field outside of the classroom :) And the research itself is studying cute little kids, so i'm psyched! Hopefully this will work out, wish me luck!
