:)
All I gotta say is this weekend was amazing, definetly a good way to end the school year. Friday night was our end of the year BBQ, and it was a complete success! We had the bbq at the same location we had last year, and we took many cool pics on the playground..one of the pics looks like it was done professionally! Amber and I were talking about it, and I think it'd be sweet if we got that photo framed :) After the BBQ we all went to the ROTC apartment party, and that was a blast as well! Instead of just me, Brian, and Christina going like usual, this time Laura, sam, and amber decided to come along. It was a little awkward at first though..as soon as we walked in it was like that wierd moment in a movie when the music stops and everyone in the party looks at who walked in..we were all dressed in clothes and the theme of the night was "anything but clothes party" so when we walked in one of the guys was like "DID YOU GET THE MEMO?!" but we all laughed it off after a few minutes. The party was really fun, minus stepping on brians toe (sorry benito). They played tons of awesome songs and we all just let loose and danced the night away.
Saturday night Kristin came around 7:30, and then we all headed to Dairy Queen and had a chance to meet Val's new boyfriend Dan! He's in the navy and really is such a nice guy..a nice change of pace for Val! Dan's from Texas and he told us a lot of Navy stories which were pretty interesting to hear about. Val and Dan are such a cute couple, I'm hoping we can go on a double date sometime! :)
After DQ the group split up: Val and Dan went to watch some movies, Brian went to a party with Christina, and Kristin, me, Laur, Sam, and Amber all headed up to Samber's room to play some games, one of our final game nights for our sophomore year *tear tear*. We played some Chinese Jump rope, analyzed our handwriting, and also played Taboo, which has become one of my favorite games (even though i suck at it still!). I think Kristin liked playing the games..and it was awesome for her to be there because it reminded me of the times we used to play board games with our Dad. About midnight kristins allergies were killing her, so she decided to head to my room to go to bed. The rest of us decided to watch a movie in Samber's room, but before we knew it our plans changed. Instead, we were listening to a bunch of songs on Samantha's computer and dancing around the room. Samantha really came out of her shell when she was singing along to all her Shania Twain songs, and she's a really good singer!! It was so fun to jump on the beds and just go crazy, I really am glad I can be so comfortable around Laur, sam, and amber..they really are great friends :) We decided we're going to have more of those crazy girl nights next year in their apartment, and i cannot wait. Ahh, just writing about this weekend makes me smile. I'm so lucky to have the best friends and family in the world. :)
