back in nyc
so, i had a wonderful time at home. we got about 7 inches of snow in El Campo when i went down there to visit my grandparent - amazing...it hasn't snowed there in 86 years or something crazy like that.
but now i'm back in nyc for the rest of break. Had lunch with mark's family (grandparents, aunt/uncle and cousin, etc) yesterday and then visited his other grandmother in riverdale afterwords - it was nice to see everyone. today was just working around the apartment - not as much thesis got done as i'd have liked, of course...but i did discover Picasa, the google photo program - AMAZING!!! I can't wait to put it on my desktop and replace the crappy program i have on it now.
I leave for turks & caicos bright and early (plane leaves at 8am thursday from kennedy) and can't wait. my passport arrived today which was a big sigh of relief. yay for warm and beach and relaxing wonderfulness. mmmm.... coming back to cold nyc is gonna be rough. but then the big interview is wednesday the 12 so my mind will be occupied with that - and we'll probably go see avenue q that night! and amy will visit one day that week so it will be fun. yay for fun.
