grad school update
So I finally sorted out the conference paper that was giving me vast headaches (though I'm still here at the office tweaking a few figures before the midnight deadline, of course). But that's one thing down.
Due to various delays, it looks like I'm either going to have to postpone my thesis defense deadline -- and consequently my moving date and lots of other things -- or seriously buckle down and do nothing but work like a madwoman for the month of May & beginning of June. I'm thinking maybe I should actually do that. So I might disappear from LJ, Twitter, IM, Facebook, Google Reader, and also real world interactions entirely* for about a month and work pretty much nonstop (minus sleep) to get this thing finished. I just want to be done so badly, and I know from past experience that I can get myself into a sort of flow writing state sometimes if I try. So, yeah, tentatively, May = My Thesis Writing Month. And if I can somehow pull that off, then I can still defend at the end of June. Which would be amazingly awesome.
If you're coming to town to visit me and I've made plans to see you, or vice versa, I still plan to follow through with that, however. :)
