I do something similar with tri-color rotini, then add a crapload of fresh veggies (carrot, green onion, yellow squash or zucchini, broccoli florets, whatever) and bottled/canned veggies (black olives, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, marinated mushrooms, whatever). Sometimes I'll throw in frozen peas, too. I dress it with bottled Italian salad dressing. The Kraft fat-free Italian is great, as are Paul Newman's Italian ones, especially ones that have cheese in.
Fantastic, zesty, keeps in the fridge very well, and is great for potlucks, especially as a vegetarian dish that could easily be veganized by removing cheese from the equation. Also fabbo when chunks of grilled chicken are added!
