here i am, rock you like a hurricane...
hello all. it has been a really long time since i have updated my cool livejournal [sorry, myspaces just aren't my cup of tea].. i have been super busy, and i'm hardly ever home, but when i am home, i'm either too tired or lazy to get on the computer and/or i don't have the patience to go to livejournal.com and update. i must have a.d.d. or something, i'm convinced.. but in the wee morning hours of sunday is when i am the most mellow and patient so i'd thought i'd give it a whirl, plus i was kind of bored. [oh, it's 2:28 to be exact] let's review the summer shall we? this shouldn't take long.. one word [you know it well] BASKETBALL.. but at least, at the end of this month, it is over. knock me over with a feather.. but to tell you the truth, i really don't know what i am going to do without playing basketball. it's like the only thing i know and i have gotten so used to it. i won't know what to do with myself and all the extra time. nevertheless, it will not be completely over.. just summer league for aau will be over, but there will still be school ball to be played. joy, i tell you.. but other than that, the summer has pretty much consisted of hanging out with colette, jackie, and all the other basketball people << [i had an urge to put 'peeps' but i realized that is so last year, haha].. i haven't really seen too many people from school or anything like that lately, too busy for that i guess.. it's sort of sad but okay at the same time.. okay, so that was the vague overview of the summer according to lauren emig.. for my next trick, i will go into details to tell you about my week/day.. well, this week we had off from aau so me, molly, & colette went down to lafitte and chilled.. we tried to pitch a tent [didn't work], went swimming at 2 a.m. [rather chilly], went shopping with my aunt and cousin [ah, kill me], played a lot of poker [didn't win], and oh yeah, we also saw a snake [a big black one; colette insists that it jumped across the pond].. oh then we went to jenni's house and were up to about 6 [that was fun].. but most recently, today i cleaned my house, and then took a 7-hour power nap [i needed it because i haven't been able to fall asleep lately; probably explains all the energy i have at 2-3 in the morning], then me, the fam, and colette went and saw star wars.. it was okay but i was a little lost throughout it.. after that, i came home and watched wimbledon [the movie].. speaking of that, i can't believe venus williams won! i was shocked.. i am a maria sharapova fan myself, but that's beside the point.. okay, time to focus, there has also been some family drama lately and i don't like it.. but i am happy to say that it is over with.. hm, what else? oh, i kind of miss school too.. me and colette were really delirious and started talking about it one night and i have decided that i kind of miss the old place, but i'm not like dying to go back or anything.. well, i think i should really get to sleep because tomorrow, me and my teammates get to go shake cans in front of wal-mart to raise money for nationals.. this should be interesting, i should also try to find my santa hat. i just don't want these people to think that we are like mentally retarded children or anything like that because that wouldn't be too super.. oh yeah, i have come to the conclusion that i desperately need a vacation. i have a lot on my mind, i have decided. wow, i think that is enough. i have been at this for a good half-hour or so. well you guys can chew on this until i decide to randomly update again. so til then, adios. keep it real. and oh yeah, you can comment. i want to see what you guys have been doing over the summer too. love yourself and each other. peace, lauren.
