Saturday like Sunday
I clicked on my own LJ to read it and man I've been such a bummer! I have definitely lightened up since writing that last entry. School wrapping up is helping. I still have a major project to complete by May 12 but honestly not much else. The narrowness of my focus makes it a lot easier to set goals and finish them. Consequently I've been working diligently but have more time overall for other self-maintenance tasks like seeing friends etc etc. One thing school's taught me for sure is the necessity of having social time out of choice. As I've said I have many excellent and amazing friends at work and school but it is just. Not. The same.
Speaking of school. If anyone has a chance I highly recommend stopping by the Galleries at Moore to take a look at the Senior Show which is fascinating for the variety of work and talents showcased. I'm so intrigued and impressed by my classmates' work. The senior interior design work is amazing of course because I understand a little better the effort behind it but I loved work from all the other departments as well. Of course because of Jenelle I looked extra carefully at graphic design. If you go you should too. Those are extra stellar. Some really beautiful, careful, inspired work. It's great. In the entire show I've definitely seen some ridiculous silly art-school-WTF kinds of pieces I have to giggle at of course. But after awhile even that stuff makes sense. Somebody somewhere right?
Bummer!
-Passed out through HiSoft and Blood Feathers! Zow! I guess I can't expect a nap to last only an hour when I slept only four the previous night
-Think I'm getting a spring cold

-Had a blast at Ruth's post-work barbeque extended-late-night Golden Ball-afterparty birthday with Chu Hui who charmed basically every person she talked to into gushing about her today
-Just put on slippers and my feet are finally warm, guess it's not quite flipflop weather yet really
-Ordered a Federico pizza from Rustica
-Mickey's home Monday afternoon
-Fucking great photos from the Philebrity block party this evening
My new favorite colors: Lemon yellow, grass green, sky blue. White and gold. Today I'm wearing the unicorn Rainbow Brite necklace Jenelle gave me a few years ago and a soft yellow polo with a little grapefruit embroidery. Thursday between classes I bought a lame string bikini, holy shit. It's all Samantha's fault.
By the way, good luck Meghan Jenelle April Amanda Nico and many many others moving this weekend. I hope the gods smile upon you in your dusty strained efforts and new-apartment hopes.
