(no subject)
Today is Ash Weds. Lent has begun. I don't even understand Lent? Why do we give up something? I should call my priest and ask. I dunno what I'll give up. You know, if I really had the guts, I'd give up sweets. But we all know there'd be a thousand quarters in my penance box if I tried that. I want to do something different, something that will really please God. SOmething that really celebrates what Jesus has done for us. I want to try and REALLY read a whole book of the bible. REALLY delve into it. I want to try to be more patient and kind too. I dunno. What are your thoughts?
So- I'm going to get the iPod shuffle. And here's my question for you: What should I have engraved on it? Engraving is free, so I want to find something that is fun, maybe expresses me, something I say alot...I dunno. You guys know me best, so tell me: what should my shuffle say?
Yay! Phil got asked to come do training at New Braunfels Police Dept! He's gonna go this weekend and do some tests with them, and he'll find out mid April if he got the job. I hope he does! New braunfels is beautiful, and I would love to be visiting there! Abilene is okay......but New Braunfels has SCHLITTERBAHN....and I would be there every day. Because that place is amazing. So he can go to work, and I can go play all day. And that would be one happy situation! Haha...not that he would have to work, but that I could play at schlitterbahn. And New Braunfels is gorgeous. So be thinking about him! You know the other reason that he is so great? He sent me flowers today...just because. He NEVER sends flowers....not even for anniversary's or valentines...so these are extra special. And I'm so excited! I wish I could just cart them around all day, but knowing my clutzy nature, I'd drop them, or spill the water, or kill them with one touch. Because I kill plants, not make them thrive. I hope that doesn't say anything about my motherly skills! HAHA.
