(no subject)
So today was "Lauren's spend all her money" day apparently. Taein's birthday was last week so we got him a sweatshirt. Yayy for getting him his first Berkeley sweatshirt. Then I wanted to get Laura something because she rocks! And since I was in the spirit of spending money I decided to give some change to the homeless. Boy do those homeless people know how to flatter us and get us to come back. Here's what happened:
First I gave some change to these two guys and they gave me a flower. Nothing spectacular but just rather sweet. And they were very kind too.
Then I gave some change to this guy who's often in front of Urban. I was carrying 3 flowers in my hand and he said, "There are four flowers." I didn't really understand so I corrected him and said there were actually 3. Then he said, "No, there are four flowers. You're the fourth one."
I guess sometimes it's nice to do something for others because they might just help to boost your ego! Perhaps there are other motivations to do something nice I guess...
