From fic to politics
I was wondering the other day -- *not* because I was plotting anything, just because we were talking about constitutional secession rules for the President and the Veep and I was wondering -- what would happen if McCain dropped dead today? You know, as the official nominee but before the election?
Would Palin become the de facto nominee?
Would they have another convention?
Get the RNC together in a smoke-filled room?
And what if they both dropped dead? I mean, there'd be alot of angst and hand-wringing, obviously, but what would actually happen?
And this goes for the other side as well, of course...if Obama and Biden dropped dead before the election, what would happen? and would it be the same thing as on the Republican side???
Anyone know?
