almost there
I worked on the painting today for about four hours and am pretty pleased with the progress...although I am having some doubts about what I did to the sleeve on the figure on the right....now I have to do the other one's hair and figure out what kind of trompe l'oeil I want to add...I had been thinking about doing "dancing" or "floating" playing cards but suddenly I realized that it would be much more interesting, add another layer to the painting as a whole, to do a real trompe l'oeil image of something...could be a playing card, handing from a string that is tacked to the canvas that they are looking at, or maybe a spider, as Jim suggested, or a butterfly or moth...I don't know yet but am looking forward to the canvas drying and a nice big brainstorm hitting me so I can finishe this up....deadline is August 8th.....
