NKOTB recap and pics!!!

First, I am so happy that I went to the concert with levis_jules .  She moved about a year ago to the middle of nowhere and I have missed her sooo much!  Her friend Steph came along too and we know one another vaguely through Julie, myspace, and a shared love of Harry Potter and it was great to finally meet her.  She was hilarious and so much fun, the perfect concert companion.  Julie made puff paint shirts to wear, but mine was a little big so I also had an iron-on shirt I'd made.  I wound up wearing both because the puff paint was so awesome!  Who knew they still made that stuff?!

Julie & Steph picked me up and we got into Dallas pretty quickly and easily, aside from one road rage incident and my hearing a new swear word phrase from Steph, lol.  We drove around downtown a bit searching for decent parking and finally settled on a spot for $10.  As we walked in we saw so many girls decked out in leg warmers, neon shirts, crimped hair, and every bad (yet awesome) 80's trend you could imagine.  It was great!

One radio station had cardboard cut outs set up of all the guys and we HAD to stand in line for pictures.  Then we went inside and checked out our awesome seats!!  They were really good and so worth the money we spent for them.  We were about 15 rows up from the stage, right next to it!  We went and grabbed margaritas/daquiri's and some quick dinner.  After we ate I saw our friend Philip from high school walking in our section, so I screamed and he came up to chat and quickly called over Michelle (my friend since we were 5!) and we chatted a bit.  Then the first opener came on, some strange girl from Jamaica who was pretty bad.  I used the time to text Michelle, who had the exact same seats as us, just on the direct opposite side.  After she sang Natasha Bedingfeld came on and she was actually much better than I expected.  She was really great live and I enjoyed her.  She put on a good show.

Finally, the lights dimmed and it was TIME!  I felt like my silly 11 year old self all over again.  Julie, Steph, and I jumped up and down and screamed like we'd never screamed before.  It was so freaking amazing!  We could see the guys walking up the side of the stage, getting ready to come out and they were still so gorgeously cute.  They sang a few new songs, but mostly the old ones which I was so happy for.  I sang and danced and jumped up and down for 2.5 hours and loved every single part of it.  The entire venue was completely sold out and it was so loud with girls screaming and cheering and singing.  It was honestly the best concert.  It was so much fun to flash back to being little again and have no worries and just be in the moment.  And even at pushing 40, those boys looked incredibly gorgeous and could dance as well as they did 15 years ago!
