I have a weird relationship with Tennyson. On the one hand, he bores me at best and pisses me off at worst. On the other hand, there are just a few bits and pieces of his that can move me, or, in some contexts, even make me cry.

And boy do I love pathos.

"Come, my friends. 'Tis not too late to seek a newer world."
