Okay, so here's the scenario. We get up this morning, and decide to have breakfast at IHOP(as per drunken plans made the night before) so I can have Swedish Pancakes, the most amazing food evAr. So Craig, Tony, Stupid Elliot and Dumb Danny show up in Craig's M3. Craig says that we should make use of the fact that Art's car's a station wagon, and volunteers to ride in the hatch. So, we have 6 people in the legacy and head up to IHOP. We eat, and then walk over to Radio shack to look for drivetrain components for Elliot's Xmod model car. They don't have them, so we head towards home when Craig decides he wants to buy Magic: the Gathering cards. So, we head to the comic book store in the "lake forest park mall" only to be disappointed by them being closed. We leave there, and head into Edmonds to go to another comic book shop. They're open, so Craig and Tony both buy several packs of Magic cards. We swing by LAMHOC on the way home to pick up Craig's car and for me to get snacks for the afternoon.
So we go down to TEKHOC in the U-district and proceed to begin the horrible night of nerdiness. Craig explains the basic premises of playing Magic(it's been over a decade since I've played with my brother)while Art gets out a laptop and starts playing on the internet. It's at this point that Art pops Behind Enemy Lines into the dvd player and the evening commences.
Let me paint this picture to you. 4 guys sitting in the basement of their college house watching a war movie on a 60 inch television, with 2 laptops going, surfing the internet. Three of them sit on the floor playing Magic: The Gathering, as the one girl in the group(who is wearing glasses) watches intently as they strategically play their "lightning bolt" cards, doing 3 damage to their opponent. Anyway, the movie finishes, and Craig's friend Tess comes by, this is amazing, another girl in the house. We start Euro Trip(a film that we've seen no fewer than 25 times) and get this.... order a pizza...on the internet. We're sitting in their basement, watching either war films or movies that we've seen tons of times, playing magic, surfing the internet, ordering pizza. I felt simultaneously disgusted at and proud of myself. I'm also going to get my brother's old Magic decks so I can join in on the fun. I'm such a dag.
