Man, there's this girl in my spanish class that always asks stupid questions, and has this tongue piercing. Now that's not what irritates me about it. What irritates me, is that she lisps all the time. I have no reason to believe that it was recently pierced(as in recently enough to still be "getting used to it"), as she spoke on the first day of class(thursday) and continues to speak the same way through til today(tuesday).
I'm sorry, but if you're uncapable of speaking correctly with a tongue piercing, then DON'T WEAR THE FUCKING BARBELL THROUGH YOUR TONGUE!!! It's as simple as that. It's morons like her that lead people to believe that tongue piercings fuck with one's speech. People don't notice when capable people have tongue piercings, because they don't allow said piercings to handicap them, so they're not noticable. I've had my tongue pierced for nearly 3 years, and I've never had a problem with lisping, outside of the first 2 weeks. Now, I DO tend to lisp for about a day everytime I take my tongue ring out, as my mouth has to get used to not "talking around" the jewelry anymore, but it's hardly noticable.
Thanks for reading. :)
