An Open Letter to TGWTG Forum Members,
Look, I'm about 90% certain that was one of you in line behind me waiting to see Showgirls on Tuesday, mostly because I've heard the exact same arguments you made about twenty times from about twenty different posters.
You are so very lucky that I am a hell of a lot more polite in person, because you seriously spent twenty minutes butting into our conversation to tell us how the current generation was being ruined by Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus and whatever the hell you've decided is far, far worse than your childhood interest in robot cars.
You thoroughly embarrassed your poor date by insulting her taste in movies, and then spending the entire conversation ignoring her and arguing with me about your deep loathing for the Star Wars prequels. That poor girl. She deserves better than a guy who wears a silk shirt with giant cocktail glasses printed on it and gets into internet arguments with total strangers in public. You kept on going far beyond the point where we were interacting with you out of thinly strained politeness. No one was making eye contact with you, everyone was giving you one-word answers, and god bless you, you kept going.
You will likely never find this. And for that, I am glad, because my ear has been sufficiently talked off and I'm not sure I have any patience left.
Sincerely,
The poor girl who made the mistake of mentioning her ticket purchase to Star Wars in Concert.
