I really enjoyed Storm Front. I'm not normally a fan of the mystery genre, but I found that this had enough magic and mystique to peak my interest. And I really enjoyed Butcher's writing as well. I think of that boils down to how much marginal and down-right crappy writing we've been reading in book club the last several months.

As much as love my friends, we don't all have the same taste in fiction and writing styles and so some of the choices have been difficult for me to read. But I really enjoyed this book. It was easy to get into, quick to read, and thoroughly enjoyable throughout. There was just enough suspense to keep me reading and, though I do feel that the writing was a little flowery at times, I liked Butcher's imagery and I really felt like we got to hear Dresden's character throughout. We really got to know him.

I definitely plan on reading more of this series. But I'm going back through the first couple of books in the Kitty Norville series first, cause I want to get to the more recent books. :)

I will also have to throw the Hunger Games in there because my friends are all reading it and I'm tired of them talking about it in front of me. :P
