You rock so much ass right now, I can't even tell you! Okay, I'll try.
I'm so pumped that you got to 20 minutes already! That's freaking insanity! I know, I've tried. I think my record so far is 1m 30s before I'm crying like a little @#$% with a skinned knee. Somehow I can handle the treadmill but the elliptical is some Jedi action.
I have to say that the idea of you spread eagle on the ground in one of those Da Vinci poses cracks my shit up. I can relate with the soreness, though. I tried to go right to the squats with a 45 lb bar and 20 lbs on top of that and walking was a major undertaking for the better part of a week. I've fallen back to a 9 lb sissy bar and regular squats.
Check out the elliptical thread here for my thoughts on why using the e-machine is so hard, and what makes it a hell of a lot easier. I wish I knew how the elliptical MPH correlates to the treadmill MPH, because the e-machine said I did 1.25 miles in 20 minutes. That's a 16 minute mile, which is nothing to sniff at. I want to get back down to the 11 minute mile that I could run back in '96, but I have no set goal for that.
I'm not kidding about that massage, by the way. I'm shuffling in to work today, thinking about your massage yesterday, and saying, "Lucky bastard."
Squats kick me in the rear -- when I tried doing them with just the sissy bar + lunges, my heart rate shot up tremendously and I couldn't walk in any reasonable manner for four days afterwards. As a matter of fact, I had to stop using the treadmill for about 2 weeks after while I learned how to walk correctly again, because I kept tripping over myself on the machine.
I la la looovee you, la la la la. gosh you so motivate me to make my thighs do some work mwah cha. Oooh and also, WELL DONE ON YOUR FITNESS GOAL whoot whoot *dances* ha thighs wernt expecting that =p love love x
