5k and moving

Aug 18, 2008 14:16

I finished my first race! It was a 5K along the Genesee River with gorgeous weather, couldn't have asked for better! I did have a stomach ache by the end of it which maybe slowed me down, but then of course that means there's room to improve next time! I finished in 33 minutes and 12 seconds which I think is quite respectable.

I'm also gearing up for my move which is very exciting. I packed up all the clothes in my dresser except for what I want to wear this week. Here is my to-do list

Tonight:
*Organize all the non-clothes stuff in my closets, on my bookcases, and in the last remaining box I still have not fully unpacked from when I moved here from Texas.
*Put them into logical piles, ie stuffed animals, picture frames, candles, writing utensils, medicine, stationery.
*Get wood conditioner, go to new apartment and use it to shine up the wood floors

Tomorrow night:
*Pack SMALL boxes for books
*Pack up the piles of junk
*Do the dishes

Wednesday night:
*Pack up pots, pans, dishes, silverware, food from the hutch

Thursday night:
*Pack up bathroom
*Pack up shoes and coats

Friday night:
*Transfer clothes on hangers to new apartment
*Figure out furniture arrangement and put up post-its for their locations

Saturday:
*call professional movers to confirm our Sunday appointment
*Pick up truck at 3PM
*call acme, order a pizza for 5:30
*BIG MOVE 4PM

Sunday:
*meet professional movers with my truck at the old place, 9:30AM so they will get the dresser and hutch
*move those things into the new place
*move the rest of the things, like wall pictures, stuff that was stuck behind the dresser, etc.

Monday:
*clean the old place
*start unpacking

Gonna be pretty busy!!

PS I am getting REALLY SICK of NBC's websites giving me Olympics spoilers before they broadcast the competitions I want to see later that night
