post-turkey
Okay, well, let's face it: I've kind of been on hiatus lately. It's already almost December, which is kinda freaking me out.
Thanksgiving was good: My folks brought the turkey over; Lis and I made everything else. First big holiday in my own place. Kind of grown up. Except for the fact that it's me living here and not an actual grown-up. But that's beside the point, I guess.
It's Lis's birthday tomorrow. The big two-four. Wow. I can't believe it. In my mind, her age stalled somewhere around sixteen. Alas. That is not the case. Blows my mind a little.
I have Christmas music stuck in my head, but am not allowed to listen to it until after Lis's birthday. I really want to put white lights in the bushes outside my house, but Lis won't let me do it until after her birthday. So I think I'll just do a weekend of Christmasification next weekend. I'll get the tree from my folks (because goodness knows they won't put it up) and there'll be a Christmasificiation Extravaganza.
I didn't have a tree last year. I'll have to make up for that this year.
Not really looking forward to going back to school. Three and a half weeks until Christmas vacation. Three five-day weeks. Lame. Bring on the vacation!!!
