Hashtag Sunday

Jul 15, 2012 18:06

Although I am on Twitter (as Laurawise5), I'm not so much a participant but an onlooker. One of the things on which I look is that delicious and ultra-versatile hashtag, and the many ways it might comment on what else is being said. So -- my hashtag Sunday.

*Best close to a letter ever: Noel Coward to bon vivant Alexander Woollcott, May 1932. All my love, you wicked, grasping old bitch. #snarkandbeyond #heonlysortofmeantit

*As I was watching the (for the nonce) Youtubed screening of Henry IV Part Two this morning, I came upon the moment I always dread -- when Hal takes the crown from his 'dead' (NOT YET DEAD, HAL, JEEZ) father and goes off to the throne room to put it on. In a proper theatre I can't allow myself my natural reaction, which is to curl up on myself moaning, "Oh baby, NO, so ill judged, ack, BABY NO." (I am a Prince Hal partisan, I admit it.) And then... Mr T Hiddleston played the SHIT out of that scene, and he made it totally, totally work. #willwouldhavewanteditthatway #headcanon

*35 minutes of cardio today, thanks to blasting the Pet Shop Boys' 1988 album Introspective. #thanksneil #thankschris #moderndayBrechtandWeill #butyoucandancetoit

I'd do a hashtag about the Blonde Dog's illness, but all I can say is that she's hanging in there. Also, she's being spoiled rotten. There's no hashtag for that.

Cheers to all. What's your hashtag for today?
