Today my bookbag broke and I blame the huge effin' geography textbook I need to carry around with me. It was sad, and it hurt. I wanted to salvage the situation and go on a duct tape hunt but Natalie thought it wouldn't be safe. I guess I had to agree with her considering I had a pointy piece of metal sticking out. Anyway, it left me with no choice but to carry it by the handle for the rest of the day. It made me sad. Plus, that thing is heavy! I'm definatly going to re-think the whole binder thing for next year.
After school, my mom picked me up and I had to run out in the rain to Mountain Equipment Co-op to buy myself a new bookbag. I guess that overall I'm pleased with it. It's a pretty red colour and has a compartment for my laptop. It also has two shoulder straps which I suppose is a nice perk. However, I have to say I'm really going to miss my old one; I'm very attached to it. My lovely bookbag and I have been with each other since grade 9 and I'm pretty sure I still have some old junior high relics in it. It's been to every Tattoo since I started using it, and it came to Europe. It's been so faithful, even to the bitter end. It stuck it out, being held together with duct tape and all. I'm going to miss it. I don't do well with change.
