because I don't feel like posting these in the same post as my ickiness post:
These are some long lost photos that I took back in 2002 in Zion National Park in Utah. I hiked a trail called "Angel's Landing," which is by far the scariest trail I've ever done. I did it alone too, because J wasn't over his fear of heights then. I refused to carry my heavy SLR camera up the mountain, so I brought my plastic Holga instead.
Hands down, the scariest part of the trail. Solid rock path with a huge drop into the canyon on either side. There's a little chain to hold onto, but that's about it!
Another part of the trail with sheer drops to either side. It amazes me that trees can grow out of the rock like that too!
Looking out over the edge from the top, you can see the canyon walls in the distance, and the little river at the bottom:
