There's not been much painting going on of late, since all stuff is still in boxes and have found it hard to concentrate. So with hands twitching to get busy and a big reminder to myself that creativity is like any other compulsory bodily function (like breathing,
eating, drinking, and the stuff that comes out the other end - well - it is still morning!) - you get ill or atleast in a lot of pain if you don't do it. Or get very angry. So have been attempting other avenues of creating STUFF to save my soul exploding.Writing, playing guitar has been the most interesting. I remember at college my favourite tutor told me to not paint for a month (in the easter hols; he would have been a bad tutor had he told me to sit there for a month in college time and done diddly squat)...read ,get inspired get to the point where you are so itching with ideas you feel you are gonna burst and then at the end of the month, let it all out. So I hope this is what Im gonna do, or just burst... we'll see.
Am back in Leicester with my mum and my handsome dog Benny at the moment. Ofcourse the house/mortgage thing is still going crazy... I think they are really messing me about but am not in the mood to talk about it as it is royally p***ing me off.
When I was in Maine I was given some photos taken in June 2004 last time I was in Maine, by a friend and photographer Ana Courtney. I remember she was giving me a tour of Peaks Island in a beautiful old Falcon, we put the radio on and all we could find was old 40's and 50's music, it was perfect, like being in a time warp (without gary glitter!) I gave her a reading just before her first date with a guy called Randy (o how I giggled) and I think it terrified me let alone her; marriage, kids, true love all came up immediately (this is the stuff Laura's nightmares are made of!). So 2 years on, her and Randy have a beautiful house together in Portland and a beautiful baby girl. Which has all happened rather quickly but they are all very happy so :). Anyway the photos I thought I'd put in as its the first time Iv seen em and they are nice memories. They're in galleries. Very thelma and louise. Without Brad Pitt. Or killing anyone.
