So here it is! Marmarth is the south westernmost town in North Dakota. It takes for. ever. to get out there! But I had to see it. Which makes it all that much more disappointing that I didn't actually go IN the auditorium. Yes, you read that right. I didn't go in. For 3 reasons. 1. There were angry barking dogs. 2. I couldn't see a way in. 3. We were in a hurry and I didn't have time to really think a strategy through. But you will be pleased that I at least went into the other side of the building, the one you see here with all the open doors. I didn't go upstairs though. eatstoomuchjam would have gone, but I am not suicidal!
Here it is from where we parked. The dogs were behind the building in an alley or driveway, right behind those black snowdrifts there on the left.
The dogs went further away a little later, so here's the back. The auditorium is on the left, and the bank (and possibly various stores and apartments) on the right.
An ancient thermometer holder attached to one of the boards. This must have been abandoned a long time!

Come on in! The floor is soft! o.0
And snowy!
I didn't realize till I was going through the pictures later that this graffiti was of a middle finger hand. Duh!
This was over some stairs. Beautiful, isn't it?
And one of my personal favorites, a double exposure of the interior from the debut of my awesome new Holga! =D
