what Peanut is doing right now!
I am SO HOT! And I don't mean that I'm good-looking, although that is true ;) This is really, really superplusungood. It must be 1,000,000 degrees in my house right now. My fingers feel like sausages.
I started washing baby clothes last night. Hormones make you stupid. They make you think little mittens that look like teddy bears are the most awesome things in the whole world.
That baby has WAY too many clothes! Maybe more than Peanut had! I gave away a bunch of Peanut's clothes to a friend, but this box* came a couple weeks ago and it was full of almost all the clothes I sent! :O And a few that I didn't send! And I gave away some of Peanut's clothes to Goodwill, but then my MIL went out and bought a bunch of new clothes. As did I. So yeah. Too many. And no place to put them. I figured out there is no way another dresser will fit in the kids' bedroom, so instead of a dresser I'm going to get a tall, skinny shelf. The clothes can go on there until we hopefully one day get a bigger place and we can get a dresser and then use the shelf for something else. And Peanut's dresser will have to be the changing area, which I'm sure he will love. We'll figure something out.
And speaking of rats... I found a nest down there on top of a pile of bin lids.** Thank god its there and not on top of something good. We can always buy a new bin. I already mentioned they were hanging out on the crib drawer. They also got the Baby Papasaun, which I'm going to try to wash. It has plastic straps but its washing machine or trash can at this point. I am just gonna buy a new changing pad, because I'm not even going to look at the old one, which is right in the heart of Rat Central.
Found out I need a new Boppy. Not because of the rats, but because its all skinny in the middle and fat on the ends and lumpy all over. I think I tried to wash it once and it never really came back from that.
In other news, I have uploaded 161 pictures of Weston already! =D I suspect there will be at least 250 more, as I think there are about 400 more I haven't even looked at yet. I want to get this done before any babies show up around here, cause I'm not going to get to it after. Of course somehow I blew the circuit that controls the living room and dining room yesterday, and lost all my unsaved pictures I was working on :( Fortunately there were only 5 I had edited but not saved in any form, so it wasn't as bad as all that. But still...

*from Tuscon, AZ. So now Greg is convinced there are scorpions in the box. I was going through the box in our bedroom the other night, and I was talking about baby clothes, and as I went to turn off the light Greg rolls over and "wait - is that box from Samantha in our room?" "Uh, yeah." "THERE ARE SCORPIONS IN THAT BOX!!!" So I had to store it in the dining room. I never found any scorpions, but now I'm wondering if the box wasn't full of brown recluse spiders that are now infesting some area of my house. Like just under my bed where I sometimes reach when I drop my glasses...
** I did not inspect said nest. I just noted its existence. I have no idea if there are live rats, dead rats, or no rats in said nest. I do not at this point want to know. I still think there is at least one dead maggoty rat down there somewhere (hence the flies), and the last thing I want burned into my brain right now is the sight of that sliding down the bin lid onto the floor between my feet. Or onto my feet. Or brushing my leg on the way down. No, I rather want to remain blissfully ignorant of whatever lurks in that storage area.
