Fergus Falls State Hospital Part 9 - the remaining exteriors

The Memorial Building, taken from the 3rd floor of the West Detached Section. You can't really see it in this picture (maybe it was on the other side), but there is a hole in the roof of the Memorial Building. It happened when they were getting ready to tear all the buildings down, and now no one will fess up and admit it was they who done it. I really like how the center is in focus and the rest is blurry. Must have been the window I was looking out of!

this happy fellow is new.

For some reason I really like this little barn thing. It was one of the first structures on the site.

One of the kind of boring buildings over to the east of the main building.

looking out a window on the 3rd floor of one of the west sections. You might recognize the gazebo from yesterday's post out in the lawn. The building behind the big tree is the Memorial Building.

The west detached section was the first to be built. They say it has some wood construction in the attic, and is therefore deemed a fire hazard.

There's the gazebo again, and the darker square brick building is the new gymnasium and chapel. There used to be a pretty little building just to the left of the gym, where that square patch of ground is. It had a bad roof and well, see where that got it!
