So after poking around the Love Shack, we drove north for awhile to see if there was anything else fun to see. Greg spotted this...thing alongside the road, next to the abandoned railroad tracks.
Greg always finds the weirdest things. Of course we had to know.
My best guess is its the bottom part of a long-gone grain elevator. What do you all think?
I was here, but now I'm gone...
I love you. Doesn't it look like it wants to give you a hug?
Heidi's gonna put 'em on the glass! Whatever that means!
Last night Sharon and I went to the Evil Mall. We were gonna go out with Pam but she totally shafted us! So we ate dinner at the mall and then walked around.
You know what they have now? Fuckin' Lost Boys action figures! OMG! Why didn't they have these things 20 years ago?? Who the hell is just sitting around thinking "hey, there's this movie we put out 20 years ago, lets make stuff for it NOW"? Yeah, now that we fans of said movie are in our mid-to-late-30's and can't possibly justify buying an action figure, because it would look silly on the shelf next to the potpourri! They had David and Michael, but the Michael one was soooo nasty-looking. It didn't look like him at all! And he was the cutest one! The David one was better. And it came with his "wine" bottle ;)
I'm sure there are younger folks who are fans of the movie, especially since they're carrying these things at Hot Topic, the store where I'm always getting the "did you wander in here by mistake, old lady?" looks. But its not the same, seeing it on DVD as it was to see it in the theater. Over 20 times. Most of those by yourself because you couldn't find anyone else who actually wanted to see it that many times, except for Nicole Fontaine, with whom you were in an unofficial contest to see who could see it more times. That biznitch was always 1 ahead of me! :) Yeah, like kids these days can even see an R-rated movie by themselves that many times without sneaking in! It was so nice when nobody cared. Good times... ;)
I bought Peanut some Duplos and a dress shirt and tie. The tie has a sparkly silver skull on it! :D
