Sarles School Part 8 - Second Floor Hallway

Sep 10, 2007 13:56

You've already seen this one, so here it is full-size! This end of the hallway and the room to the left there are the worst parts of the Bad Spot.

Back down the stairs

The moss on the floor at this end of the hall was still bright green and fuzzy!

that interior window from the other side. There's my reflection in it, leeeeaaaaning over. Yeah. That floor had bad mojo.

The decay! I love it!

Oh! How nice! A green accent wall!

I wonder when I see things like this broken light fixture. What made it break like that? When it did break, was anyone around to hear it? I picture it filling up with water fast during a particularly violent thunderstorm, the hallway silent except for the wind in the trees, the thunder, and the rain dripping from the ceiling and running down the walls. The only light the eerie faint glow of a far-off streetlight, except for the blinding bright lightning, for a second like daylight, then black again. The light fixture fills with water and water spills over the sides, until a crack forms along an old weak spot it got in 1972 when the janitor dropped it from the ladder upon which he was standing, and *SMASH* it goes, half of it falling to the floor, along with all its water, down to the floor to join the rest of the rainwater collecting in long skinny pools along the warped floorboards. That's what I picture anyway. Could've just as easily been a local kid in there drinking with a baseball bat.

Only one more Sarles School post to go! You're gonna miss it when its gone! :P
